I haven't really updated this thing much at all, and I have another journal for my actual blogging needs. But hey, here we are, so.

Been really excited about Final Fantasy VII cosplay lately. I live in Japan now and actually never planned to bring my costume with me. I didn't want to waste energy being an otaku... until I met ~frankiki and we realized it was genuinely something we love doing, and it doesn't matter if it's geeky or not. It's all about being yourself and making good memories. Anyway, I begged my mom to mail over my Aeris (I refuse to call her 'Aerith' now or ever, dammit!) costume from America so I'm all set to go. ~frankiki had lost several pieces back in England so we're currently putting her Tifa costume together again. When everything is set, we hope to go to Comiket (one of the biggest comic conventions in Japan) in December in cosplay. Hooray!

Hmm, I'd really like a prop though... in America I had both Aeris's Guard Stick and her flower basket, accumulated through cosplaying her for many years (oi, I feel old!). Unfortunately, it'd be unreasonable to mail either of those things. It'd be a pain to make another staff right now (though if I do, it'll be the Princess Guard version!) but I can probably throw together a flower basket.

Yeah, did I mention we're totally in the mood?! We played FFVII again (for the 47598347528457084345th time approximately for me), and now we're just gonna run through the others again. I've pretty much played them all but VII by far the most. Actually, I just beat the game again earlier this evening during a bout of homework procrastination. I love the ending, which explains my inherently sour mood toward all of the spin-offs. Though I did recently watch Advent Children Complete, and I must say I think it's better than the regular Advent Children... Denzel is so cute! Still, as a whole, I kinda wish they had just left is as the original game. >_< Also, I cannot wait for Final Fantasy XIII to come out! It comes out really soon here in Japan. Makes up for the fact that I can't play Assassin's Creed II right now.
